Our Story
Bold faith is not just about a building. It’s about life empowerment, city transformation and expanding the kingdom of God. Our bold vision has been to purchase a permanent facility where we can grow into God’s purpose for us and better serve our people and the city. After a thirteen-year search, that vision has become reality today at 423 King’s Road, North Point. We are committed to revitalizing this site, honouring its history, and customizing the premises to serve the community for years to come.

Together We Shift Culture
Together
We Shift Culture
One transformed life creates a ripple effect that impacts generations to come. When the gospel values of love, mercy, justice and hope permeate our way of life, the result is kinder workplaces, more grace-filled homes, greater inspiration in classrooms, and personal identities that are restored and secure. We believe this transformation will shift culture and establish a lasting legacy that shapes our future and fosters a vibrant, resilient city.

Imagine kinder workplaces, more grace-filled homes, greater inspiration in classrooms and personal identities that are restored.
Bridge the Gap
We seek God for the welfare of Hong Kong. We are called to care for this city and we believe the good news is for everyone. We aim to be a bridge for the gospel by reaching across cultural, social and age barriers. By creating connections in the community and helping those in need, together we create a healthier environment that reflects God’s love and makes Hong Kong a flourishing city for all.

We all have a story. We have a before and after, and the turning point is an encounter with Jesus. This is a place to discover our true story and our greatest calling. We are in the business of building up people into disciples. See how these transformed lives make a difference in their communities.

This is more than a church; it’s a strategic hub for service. With greater exposure and accessibility, we can provide more services to meet the city’s evolving needs. Check out how we’ve served the community for the past decade and more.

Legacy is lasting power, an enduring gift for generations to come. Our investment now ensures a permanent place to worship for future generations, and will soon free up resources for greater impact in the city. Let’s visualize what that looks like.

Revitalization in the Making
Revitalization
in the Making
The Bold Faith project will revitalize 423 King’s Road, a property that includes the Sunbeam Theatre and ground floor to sixth floor of Kiu Fai Mansion. The current site will be repurposed and filled with activities and programs that serve not only our congregation but also our neighbourhood.
Since the purchase of the site, we have done extensive studies to maximize the potential for future development. This includes assessing its historical significance, gathering community input and collaborating with planners to create a purpose-built space for our church and for the community.

At the Heart of
North Point
At the Heart
of North Point
423 King’s Road iconic location embraces the energy and spirit of North Point, gives high visibility and immediate access to the whole community at street level. Furthermore, the proximity of public transportation provides a means for our church to extend our commitment to the community and is a greater platform for proclaiming the gospel.
Increased accessibility and increased visibility expands the platform for the gospel.

Imagine the Space
The new property will be customized with effective ministry as our top priority. Spanning 97,000 square feet, it will enhance our existing ministries and create many new opportunities. We envision storefronts that offer easy access to a community hub, a welcoming cafe with co-working spaces, and retail areas supporting businesses with a redemptive purpose. Our new home will feature more space for ministry activities, leadership training, and community events. Central to the building will be our worship auditorium, designed to accommodate approximately 1,000 people.

Imagine an inviting, luminous open space that welcomes and inspires.
New Light New Home
As we establish our new home at this iconic site, we recognise the Sunbeam Theatre’s significance in the hearts of many. We are committed to honouring the collective memories associated with the theatre, and are collaborating closely with professionals and stakeholders to discover creative and meaningful ways to preserve its artifacts.

Breath of Renewal
We are making a significant investment to implement structural reinforcements to bring the entire property to fully meet current safety codes. Elevators and wheelchair access ramps will be installed to make it accessible to all. This 50-year old landmark will be completely upgraded with the latest innovations and designs, ready to step into the new era.

frequently asked questions
Why 413-423 King's Road?
We began our search for a permanent home in 2012, and are thrilled to announce the purchase of the Sunbeam Theatre and its surrounding space (413-423 King’s Road) in February 2024. The theatre’s stage and setting perfectly meet our needs, as our services feature a full-size band and multiple speakers on stage—making this the primary reason for our purchase. This marks a significant milestone for our church, providing us a dedicated space to foster spiritual growth for both our ministry and the wider community.
When can we move in?
Starting in Spring 2025, essential foundation work will begin at the 413-423 King’s Road building for safety reasons. As a result, the theatre will be unavailable for use in the coming years. However, once the revitalization project is completed and the church is relocated, we look forward to welcoming organizations to host community-benefiting activities in the theatre. Additionally, we will be exploring the possibility of meaningful retail and residential spaces in the future.
Meanwhile, our lease at 633 King’s Road is set to expire in October 2025, and we fully expect to renew it to ensure a smooth transition. We are excited about this new chapter and the opportunities it will bring for our church and community.
What are the plans for the existing tenants?
We have thoughtfully engaged with each tenant, working closely with them to honour existing lease agreements.
How will we integrate in the community around North Point and surrounding area?
Our church has been located at 633 King’s Road since 2008, and we have been an active part of this neighbourhood for the past 17 years. We look forward to continuing our contributions to this community.
How is the church financing the property transaction?
We have bought the property for a total $750 million, with $300 million funded through cash payment and $450 million secured through favourable bank financing.
The cash portion has been made possible through dedicated fundraising efforts since 2015. We are deeply grateful for the generosity and unwavering support of our congregation and friends of the church. Your contributions have played a vital role in making this vision a reality - thank you!
What is the BOLD Faith Campaign fundraising target?
The church is currently managing a bank loan, and future revitalization costs for the 413-423 King’s Road buildings. Our target for 2025 is to raise $150 million for the Bold Faith Campaign, which includes the revitalization costs and bank loan.
It’s important to note that this fundraising target is an estimate. We will be unable to provide accurate figures until we finalize contracts with consultants.
