EXPONENTIAL HOPE

The vision for 210 Java Road has always been outward and future focused. God loves the Church and encourages us to gather in depth-seeking community with other believers. But it’s within this worshipful, gathering space that we are to outreach to new believers and be equipped to meet the needs of a city hungry for hope. This is why we believe our new church home (and all the ministry that happens within and outside of its walls) will play such a pivotal role in our city both now and for generations to come. It’s why reaching the community through social services, focused on the disadvantaged, is so central to this big vision.

Our vision for the future started with seeds planted in the past. Island ECC has always prioritised missions and community service, believing that there’s no better way to exhibit the love of Christ than through serving others. Hope of the City, our local outreach in the community for social services, along with our ministries have created thousands of opportunities over the years to impact the city and world.

We want to see this aspect of ministry life grow exponentially. Our hope is to empower believers to make a difference, to mobilise for strategic change, and ultimately to build up and support individuals, marriages, families, refugees and those in need around our city. Additionally, we plan to train carers, provide support for special needs children, ethnic minorities, and other disadvantaged groups.
